Staff training and career development is encouraged by the management team of the Southport Laboratory. Several staff members are currently undergoing study both through TAFE and University. Examples of the courses studies by staff are Cert III in Pathology Assistance, Master of Science in Clinical Microbiology and Bachelor of Applied Science. In addition, several of our scientists are now studying medicine whilst working in casual positions in the laboratory.
