Histopathology / Dermotopathology / Cytopathology
Dr Bendall graduated from Melbourne University and commenced training in general pathology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Over a two year period there he also undertook research that would later lead to his attaining the degree of Doctor of Medicine at Melbourne University. Following further training in haematology and biochemistry at the Royal Melbourne Hospital he obtained his FRACP and FRCPA. Apart from a period as Director of Haematology in the Public Health Laboratory of Western Australia and in the Pathology Department Ballarat Base Hospital, Dr Bendall has devoted his professional career to practice in the private pathology sector. Initially a partner he subsequently practiced for several years at Frankston Pathology Laboratory and was later Medical Director/Pathologist at Qualytech and Chelmer laboratories. Since joining Gribbles Pathology Dr Bendall’s interests have been principally histopathology (including dermatopathology) and cytopathology in which he is a Fellow of the International Academy of Cytology. Dr Bendall has also been Supervising Pathologist for Gribbles Laboratory in Wangaratta.
