Histopathology / Oral Pathology
Dr Angel is a registered dental and medical practitioner with post-graduate qualifications in both Oral Pathology (Master of Dental Science, Fellow of the Faculty of Oral Pathology, Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia) and Anatomical Pathology (Fellow of Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia). Dr Angel has written a thesis on mucoepedermoid carcinoma of minor salivary gland origin. His training included four years in Oral Pathology at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and a further four years in Anatomical Pathology at various institutions including, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Royal Women’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Angel also has appointments as a sessional oral pathologist at the School of Dental Science, University of Melbourne and locum pathologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. A consultant in Oral Pathology in both the public and private health system for several years, he has a particular interest in odontogenic and salivary gland lesions and a wider interest in head and neck pathology.
