After graduation, Dr Ho undertook training in internal medicine at Royal Adelaide Hospital and became a Member and subsequently Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He then joined the Haematology Department of the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Following a year in America, he returned to the IMVS in the Haematology Division where his last appointment was as Senior Clinical Haematologist with responsibility for laboratory and diagnostic haematology, as well as participating in the clinical management of patients with haematological disorders. After 27 years at the IMVS, Dr Ho spent some time in the United Arab Emirates working as a consultant Haematologist before returning to Adelaide. He joined Gribbles Pathology as a sessional specialist in haematology in February 2001. In addition to general laboratory haematology, he has a particular interest in the diagnosis of haematological malignancies such as leukaemia and lymphoma. Dr Ho provides advice and interpretation of test results to requesting doctors, and offers a clinical service on patients referred for assessment and management.
