Haematology
Dr Kennedy studied Medicine at Monash University and trained in haematology at Royal Children's Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has been Director of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service Tasmania for 10 years. Dr Kennedy held the position of staff Haematologist Royal Hobart & Hobart Pathology and visiting Haematologist Australian Red Cross. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Tasmania. He studied management at the University of Tasmania, epidemiology CCEB at University of Newcastle, and is currently the Medical Director Gribbles Pathology Tasmania. He is a Member of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and is currently the Tasmanian State counsellor. Dr Kennedy is also a Member Haematology Society of Australia & New Zealand; is currently the Tasmanian State counsellor and Treasurer; Member Australian & New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion; and Member of the Australasian Society of Thrombosis & Haemostasis.
