Medical geneticist joins Healthscope Molecular
Healthscope Molecular warmly welcomes Associate Professor John MacMillan to the position of consultant medical geneticist.
John brings to the position a wealth of experience in both clinical and research genetics. Following his graduation from the University of Aberdeen in medicine, John worked extensively throughout the UK before coming to Australia.
John’s current position is senior staff specialist with the Queensland Clinical Genetics Service, as well as having an academic appointment as associate professor in the department of medicine, University of Queensland. John’s research interests include inherited neurological disorders.
John also holds a number of committee positions including the HGSA/RACOG Committee on Antenatal Screening for Down Syndrome, the HGSA Education Committee and was on the AHMAC Advisory Group on Gene Patents and Genetic Testing.
